The evolution continues

It’s a great time to be a part of GeoOp. We’ve expanded our team, and taken on board a heap of feedback as part of our commitment to make a faster, smarter and stabler job management tool for your business.
This November GeoOp will receive a new look with easier navigation and more options to manage your jobs.
We’ve also got a new mobile app in development to be released in the coming months with improvements resolving previous feedback. Read on to learn more about the GeoOp evolution.

...that's supported by modern tech

We’re overhauling the engine that powers GeoOp to ensure a better experience. This will mean:
  • Faster response times when creating jobs or syncing between the mobile app and your desktop browser
  • A stable platform meaning less lag, less crashes (if any) and much more torque!
  • Improved security to protect your business data and privacy

Most common questions

Will I still have all the features and functionality I'm used to with the new GeoOp

Absolutely. We aren’t removing any major features or functionality, but rather, building on them. There will be improvements with the user interface and search functionality starting September. We’re going to great lengths to ensure the transition is as smooth and supportive as possible for your business.

My team are used to the old way of managing jobs, scheduling etc. How will we be supported in adjusting to the new look and feel?

Great question. This is one reason why we’re bringing in the changes gradually so you have time to adjust to the new system. When we do our first upgrade in September there will be updated Knowledge Base articles available as well as in-product tours and tips to keep you going. On top of that, there will be a roll back feature to the classic version if you need some more time to adjust. As always, our support team will be available to give you a hand. It takes less than 30 seconds to get through to a support officer over chat during business hours if you need it.

Will the upgrades to GeoOp impact my accounting integration?

Accounting software integration with third party apps such as MYOB, Quickbooks and Xero will not be impacted by the updates. If you are already connected, this will continue. If you aren’t you will still be able to connect your accounting platform.

When is the new GeoOp mobile app coming?

We are releasing the beta in September as part of our development and testing phase. We don’t have a specific release date yet, but we are aiming to have the app available by the end of 2022. It’s important that we get the app right first and foremost.

Will there be a calendar view of the schedule in the mobile app?

Yes! We want you to have a faster and easier experience to see and plan your schedule whether that is by day, week or month! This will be available in the new mobile app that releases later in the year. We’ll also be adding the ability to sync your calendar with external apps like Google calendar too!

Will there be an offline mode for the mobile app?

Our first priority is to build a mobile app that integrates the features needed to run your business from anywhere. Once we launch the new mobile app later in 2022, we will then be focusing on building an offline mode to roll out during 2023. Some of the offline options we are looking to implement include updating existing jobs, adding notes, charges and photos.
